For reference I was a huge fan of Russel T Davies' runs (campness aside) and thought that most of Moffat's run was garbage with a few incredible exceptions (Heaven Sent is a top-3 episode of Nu-Who hands down)

Just finished the new episode of #DoctorWho, and I thought it was excellent. Jodie Whittaker is great, the production values are so much better (like a Netflix drama) and overall I was really pleasantly surprised by how engaging and funny it was. Looking forward to more

I think some of the writing towards the start was a little lazy, and there’s a lot of continuity mistakes. But once you look past that it’s all good stuff

Worth remembering that we don't know the "continuity mistakes" are mistakes. Would make sense to explain a reset at some point, because it's much more interesting to have stories set on an Earth that is not aware of aliens
