I spend much less time on Twitter than used to, but I still feel those years of usage have significantly affected my relationship with the internet (and by extension, my perception of the world).

I tend to assume that because I see so many people from so many walks of life on Twitter, including personal friends, that many of the patterns of behavior on it are universal (or at least generational), but I also have many friends who are barely on social media at all.

I wonder how deeply (and permanently?) my ways of interpreting information and apprehending reality have diverged from those other less-online friends. This site is super weird.
