I’ve been rigging all week, I remember the first model I rigged I drew simple skeletons about 20 times before I even began to make sure I knew how it all worked... then realised I could just move my own body around to figure out bones 
This was back in 2004 too... fuck I’m old.
Today I'm learning the wonderful art of rigging. It's weird how often they want you to think about bones. Animation is a cultist ritual involving bones and a blood sacrifice
