Unwrapping UVs makes me want cry. How do you 3D artists do this for a living? Why isn't this automated? I want to unwrap myself into a pile on the floor

I once unwrapped a super high poly model and it took me nearly 2 weeks to have clean unwraps for texture work to begin on. This is why I sing the high praises of low poly 3D work, it’s way more fun to make, unwrap and texture for and doesn’t take butt loads of time.
