It can be, if the world is in line with the mechanics. But we all have experience open worlds that are big just to be big. There are way more examples of that than games whose sparse worlds align with mechanics

yeah, totally. My original tweet doesn't really encompass my entire opinion - you can have smol bad games and great open sparse games too. Just tired of so many big, empty worlds

Agreed. Took me a while to get into
