Not that it really matters anymore, but that they blacked out the classification in the top left of that tweet tells you the IC didn't clear the release

Just once I'd like to see an article like "Extroverted? Here's Some Tips on How to Be Quiet and Reflective"https://twitter.com/oprahmagazine/status/1166995911396024320 …

Dear friends, I’m back. 1. Two months after I got released from prison, I’m arrested again. Even though it’s a heavy cross to bear, I expected that I would be arrested and prosecuted in this movement again.

The propensity for saying the quiet part out loud is less amusing when it blows the cover on a multi-decade, multi-president campaign to disrupt Iranian missile and nuclear development with minimal loss of life. Lots of analysts counting pixels in Beijing and Moscow today.https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1167493371973255170 …

To be clear, the fix reduced the running time, not the bug.

The students fixed a bug that reduced the running time of our algorithms by 50x and basically I hate systems research.

"With SGX-ROP, we bypass ASLR, stack canaries, and address sanitizer. We demonstrate that instead of protecting users from harm, SGX currently poses a security threat, facilitating so-called super-malware with ready-to-hit exploits" https://arxiv.org/abs/1902.03256

So DARPA is developing autonomous tunnel-hunting robots. Discuss.

We’ll look at how the attackers modify their exploitation techniques over time to defeat new mitigations, and investigate the capabilities of the attacker’s implant to access personal information on the exploited devices.

If I were writing the algorithm, I'd say 100 RT in 6 hours is probably a tending topic and show it to more people. Then I'd train a ML model on past tweet popularity, and it would learn to do that "all on its own".

Remember how everybody lost their mind over Microsoft Palladium? At the time, "huge corporation will use hardware-rooted DRM to censor content choices by end users" seemed the worst-case scenario. That is literally the impact of Apple's DRM in China. https://epic.org/privacy/consumer/microsoft/palladium.html …pic.twitter.com/0NfhLmU6HR

It's darkly ironic that Apple is the company that is demonstrating the end point of late-90's fears about Microsoft.

Many things to learn from this incident, but one is the safety cost of anti-competitive iOS App Store policies. Chrome/Brave/Firefox are required to use the default WebKit/JS. If Apple isn't going to put in the work necessary to protect users then they should let others do so. https://twitter.com/dyn___/status/1167451912955998208 …pic.twitter.com/lEdSjCpfUX
