Went into this ready to despise the author. Sadly there is merit to some of her points so I only got to experience a vague distaste.
After further thought... "a friend" and spouse have struggled financially essentially forever, yet they keep on doing the heavy lifting / hard work / looking out for one another / having the tough conversations to improve their marriage, so it can be done, at least by some.
