One begins to suspect that filling one's head over the decades with stuff for which one can find no obvious avenue to charge others to retrieve/apply/regurgitate was a suboptimal allocation of resources. Suboptimal but irresistible.
The bit of irrelevant that sparked this: I thought "what was that English cathedral with the zigzags? Durham. And the columns are...black and white like Sephora? No, that's Siena" -- the context being that I have no professional nor even casual interest in cathedrals

Had I been more strategic in my info acquisition, the brain space that went into cathedrals would now hold which options can be used with git stash or something
