My view on social media manipulation & fake news is that, basically, the only way is through Those most prone to online brain disease & psychological manipulation are also those whose information habits formed in a prior age, when trust in centralized institutions was the norm

Mm, that may be, although I'm trying to make a broader claim than any US-centric generational analysis Culture tends to adjust in response to changing technology. I see no huge reason why it won't do so in the case of the internet and social media also
