There ensued the past year and a half of self-induced multiple whiplash. In quick succession I lunged at game dev, long-range forecasting, startup culture consulting, functional programming. Through all of it I have been as distracted and distressed by politics as anyone. 60/
(Political aside: I became an LP member 27 years ago and have rarely voted for non-LP candidates. Having had enough of ideology, though, recently I simplified my political intent to something like "long-term freedom, stability and security" and, for now, belong to no party.) 61/
