I still find it a bit disturbing that all the "personal assistants" are by default women. Each one of them.

Why do we have to bring sexism into new and supposedly classless and borderless and welcoming virtual systems we are creating? Because people are used to it? That is just disturbing

I'd guess at least in part it's a matter of trying to make a new thing seem familiar a la skeuomorphic design.
