I am exactly the same. if I start writing something I spend ages agonising over the first sentence and I never just move on to the next paragraph if I'm not happy with the one I'm on yet

yeah I mean I've done copywriting stuff before and the "writing" element of it matters a lot less than analytics and social media strategy

I'd suggest that even the purest writing can benefit from light editing with some goal in mind, and even the most mundane word-gruel that's necessary only to provide cover for a stupid slideshow with a payload of 10 advertisements can benefit from a little whimsy and imagination.
