How about "standards-compliant transfer architecture" (SCOTA or something) or "uniform transfer architecture" instead of REST, which taken literally has scarcely any connection to its purpose, or worse RESTful which implies the opposite of a regulation of activities.

How about asynch [whatever] transfer since AJAX is just a word for the things we do together but not at the same time and your manifestation of it probably does not deal at all with XML
