if you are making a game with dialogue boxes, and you think the dialogue appears on screen fast enough, you're fucking stupid. make it 2 times as fast as you think is reasonable. this is the only way

the only ethical solution is click to skip dialogue. most games would be much better with a crib notes mode, tbh. if you can't get actually good writers you can at least dispense with the pretext.
I ran the numbers and dialogue from the average video game is very terrible
