what kinda stuff can you mentally simulate? ive got voices/music, text, interactive visual modeling (designing/repositioning furniture, clothes, etc). i can do taste and touch p vividly. smell is ehhhhh.

Taste and smell are pretty much the same thing, how can you do one but not the other?
Some tastes are just from the tongue and some (few) odors go via the trigeminal nerve rather than the olfactory bulb, so maybe they all end up being stored differently?
