I for one mercilessly block, mute and unfollow almost anything to do with "politics" because it really ruins my experience of a space I use primarily to drain the weird fluids that back up in my skull. I don't need to get angry at fools I've never met airing their ideologies.
There is always "that one guy" whose likes and RTs make it necessary for me to mute new accounts every day

as a rule I turn retweets off for almost anyone. I prefer the sweet sweet original content over any hearsay.
