If I've unfollowed you, either I don't possess the surplus of positive affect right now to attempt to buoy and bolster you when you obsess and rage so often, or your tweets grew so numerous they obscured the sun, or I just can't party (politics) that hard
I also rarely spend and regret it later...in general an excessive self control that explains the light-and-love, open-ended exploratory whimsy I sought to enjoy through this account but career desperation (now abating) and politics (not abating) have muted that

I for one mercilessly block, mute and unfollow almost anything to do with "politics" because it really ruins my experience of a space I use primarily to drain the weird fluids that back up in my skull. I don't need to get angry at fools I've never met airing their ideologies.

There is always "that one guy" whose likes and RTs make it necessary for me to mute new accounts every day
-
as a rule I turn retweets off for almost anyone. I prefer the sweet sweet original content over any hearsay.
-
Though it does afford plausible deniability around content drifting in from the realms of tumbalr and devaintart and the like via replymen

Yeah. It creeps in for sure. I'm not sure I want this pure 'light-and-love' but community and general cozyness is an aim

Generally I have good self control but-there-are-vices

I'm down to just twitter and capitaine crounche...and productivity porn...and custom IDE themes
