Having half a dozen Twitters for various purposes, all of which are unfailingly polite and tweet thoughtfully and in good faith, but being so distressed by Society Problems and Online People that you consider adding one to the menagerie expressly to be nasty, brutish and terse.
When one has been online for 20 years and never (under any handle or guise) said "go to hell" or "you idiot" or "eff off" to anyone. Perhaps there is such a thing as too much self-control.
