A moment's digging into the legal, procedural and practical facts around the latest frantic-and-distraught political melodrama shows me that educating oneself in a substantive way about any given issue will be less useful to society than undermining the credibility of the media.
Why waste your time doggedly chasing down the germane bits from every available outlet and piecing them together when you have no desire to become an amateur jourrnalist or sleuth? You could simply demand principled reporting in the first place.
