The Linux Foundation is doing all the wrong things here. I think I also saw they spun up three _more_ foundations this week and renamed one? Seriously, who keeps asking for this? It's unnecessary bureaucracy...

"unnecessary" is subjective. Considering the backdoor dealings and political shenanigans I witnessed first hand, creating multiple shell foundations might just be a way of immunising the mother org from potential blowback as they stomp over others

It's because they can route money through them as a middle man. It's why they start up things in direct competition with even some of the the things their own members do in order to capture funding. I was at one event where a guy complained about LF muscling in on training.
