    I think it is fine for journalists to have opinions and to express them openly. But I wish that NBC was more transparent about which of their reporters, like Richard Engel, are opinion journalists who advocate for a pro-war viewpoint.

    Biden saying Afghanistan was yesterday’s news, yesterday’s terror threat. That he’s guided by future threats. How can the taliban, who still deny bin laden was responsible for 9-11, controlling a country in the center of asia not constitute a current and future threat?

    What is happening in Afghanistan is not the result of an intelligence failure. It is the result of numerous policy failures by multiple administrations. Of all the players over the years, the Intelligence Community by far has seen the situation in Afghanistan most accurately.

    The IDF put out a completely false statement about a ground invasion into Gaza on Friday morning. Why should anyone believe them now?

    After providing advance warning to civilians & time to evacuate, IDF fighter jets struck a multi-story building containing Hamas military intelligence assets. The building contained civilian media offices, which Hamas hides behind and deliberately uses as human shields.

    If any other country flattened the building that housed private homes and international media, including the Associated Press and Al Jazeera, the whole world, including the U.S., would condemn that country for its acts. Israel should be no different, ally or not.

    Oh my god. The building where al Jazeera’s office is housed has just been taken down by Israeli airstrikes. There was a warning and evacuated. It houses offices and private homes. I can’t believe it.
