John Bolton's comments on Syria imply that the US is leaving open its option to "accuse" Syria of a chemical weapons attack should one mysteriously occur during the Idlib campaign as a pretext to launch an attack against Syrian forces in the hope of maintaining some leverage.
Should such an attack mysteriously occur, the US will already have "evidence" in place and ready to implicate Syria which it will not share publicly but rather make sure its allies rubber stamp in private. The mainstream media will undoubtedly join in and push such a narrative.
