6 years ago, White Helmet Khaled dug for 19 hrs to rescue a newborn from the rubble. The miracle baby survived, but Khaled later sacrificed his life while on duty along with 286 other WH volunteers. On #GivingTuesday we would love to have your support to saving Syrian lives.

Today we grieve another White Helmet hero, volunteer Mohammed Rahal. During duty he came under fire two days ago and was hit by an explosion northern #Aleppo. He has now succumbed to his injuries. We mourn him and thank him for his selfless duty. #Syria

Tragically, today we lost Baby Muhammad. Brought back from the brink of starvation, he seemed to be making daily improvements. Sadly, his little body took a turn for the worst and he passed away despite all efforts from the medical team. We thank you for your prayers for him.

Mohammad and Faris, in addition to 271 other volunteer heroes, lost their lives due to the double raids and direct targeting of the regime and Russia. They knew the risks every time they put the white helmet on their heads. They felt the end goal of saving humans was worth it.

In this small grave and under the sounds of bombing, we buried little Mohammed yesterday, who was killed along with a White Helmet volunteer after being targeted with barrel bombs. With this terrible scene, we bid farewell to 2019, one of the bloodiest years #Syria has known.
