    Props to NYCCHR for reflecting the diversity of the Jewish people in this campaign. The erasure of Jewish POC can be particularly harmful for folks who are already subject to racial and religious discrimination within and outside of the Jewish community.

    Our city is home to over 1 million Jewish New Yorkers, all of whom deserve to live free from harassment and discrimination. Join us in fighting anti-Semitism. If you see bigotry against Jewish people in your community, report it at 311 and ask for the Commission on Human Rights.

    Why does this matter? A key argument of Trump's reelection campaign is that he saved the US from a plodding economy and meager job gains. The economy has done better under Trump than economists expected, but not necessarily because of anything Trump did.

    The 2020 White House economic report tries to thread a pretty small needle, claiming Trump deserves credit for an economy that has grown roughly at the same pace as it did toward the end of Obama's presidency. The rationale? The economy didn't slow down like many thought it would

    This works out to about $15/hr, which is higher than the minimum wage in almost every state and twice the federal minimum. There are much harder jobs that pay a lot less.
