Take your time, it's ok to be a junior artist in a small company. Everyone need time to understand the industry, to accumulate culture and skill. For me it's the pro-gamer syndrome, students want to reach the top 1 position. But you'll never find it in art and creative jobs.

Gobelins School is a neurosis. 12 years ago I failed perfectly the entrance test of this school. But it was ok for me. My goal wasn't excellence, but fulfillment. I think it's more easy to reach :)

Now I'm director of my own studio, we are working on greats projects, blah, blah, blah wohoo 100k on twitter. But it's not the essential for me. My happiness in my job is to spend my day with great colleagues for a team work in my favorite city.

Mais les écoles devraient enseigner ce genre de principe. L'encadrement scolaire est défaillant si on laisse les élèves partir aussi loin dans l'ambition, jusqu'au burn out, sans réagir.

Les écoles sont constituées de profs, dont la plupart n'ont pas tjrs les pieds dans l'industrie... C'est souvent très dissonant avec la réalité, mais c'est systémique. Les intervenants extérieurs peuvent rattraper ça, mais c'est aussi une question de philosophie personnelle.
