I’m honestly surprised @taylorswift13 is performing at the Melbourne Cup considering how abusive it is towards the horses. Horses are known to die almost immediately after the race (sometimes during) due to the cruelty sustained by them at the hands of their Jockey’s.

The only thing saying Taylor is doing it is a news article. I've lost track of how many news articles have said Taylor was performing various places that she never performed. So, until TN or Tree confirms it's for real, I'm gonna hope it's just a rumor.

I’m sure she is who she appears to be. The truth behind Melbourne cup isn’t a known thing outside of Australia and she would have been told how amazing it is and thought it was a good opportunity to see her Australian fans since she doesn’t know when she’s going to be touring

‘cruelty sustained by them at the hands of their jockey’ What do you think the jockey had got to do with these recent deaths? Cause I understand blaming the process of the races but the jockeys? Wouldn’t have thought so.

The jockeys push the horses well beyond its limits for financial gain and when they no longer are able to make them money they are euthanized.
