Meanwhile you will have 90% of drivers ignoring the speed limit on the adjacent road if we go off @DfTstats
Also are the cameras still working to catch the rat running – I’m not always sure.
Is not #Activetravel inline with alot of research of the biomed campus. Could we not have proper turn radius & junctions?
Meanwhile several likely say drivers with massive #ExternalCostofMortoring (burden on #NHS) are subsided before even get onsite but have proper radius/roads
The work started before xmas, with no warning signs & would have been dangerous dealing the speeding traffic and encountering it in the dark for the first time. Campus is now obviously busier this week. Normally would be warnings on campus regarding transport changes.pic.twitter.com/DxKSkUIBj5
I noticed mud spread across the track before xmas, so hopefully no one came off. This was after phase one where the cycle route was blocked. This is because of the kerbing and non existent radius on what was left.
At that stage some cement or tarmac across the grass to create a simple radius or turning circle for the single exit now left would have been suitable. But this was before today's work of putting staggered fencing across the path.
You can clearly see the #desirelines across the grass just from pedestrians (worn out grass), but now this will also include people cycling as the dropped kerb and radius turn slightly further up the hill, previously used by people cycling now has a fence across it.pic.twitter.com/JHUSo5MCib
Note: kerbing around grass will make it dangerous to traverse a turn across that for cycles. I can see some people already doing this - see new tyre marks to add to the pedestrian footfall marks.
#desirelines.
Thank you for your message - I'm just checking with the various teams about this work and will come back to you as soon as possible.
Sorry for the delay but please find attached a statement from Countryside and Liberty Property Trust, who are the developers of the campus expansion, regarding the works you asked about yesterday.pic.twitter.com/oJhZ6CswUh
