Game 10 of 2023 taken over, Saints Row 2.
While the earning respect system that took the shine off the first is still there, the sidequests are simpler, and getting enough to play all the missions was more enjoyable. And what a main game! From the belting 80s tunes of The Mix...

Always interesting to see what mags made of big games before they were huge. Sega Saturn Mag saw potential in Tomb Raider- though they couldn’t guess Lara Croft’s cultural impact they spotted how she hit the 90s zeitgeist
