    Breathe easy, fellow Americans. He won't be an HRH, but it says he'll be styled Earl of Dumbarton, which is just peachy. We'll take it. (I'll simply note that "Earl" would have been a better name than "Archie"—for more than one reason—but that's another story for another time...)

    He will not have a royal title like his cousins, the Cambridges children, but will be known simply as Master Archie

    That's a nice tribute. I never met Robert Pear, but I've only heard great things about him this past week from people who did.

    Sweet, sad gesture from New York Times Washington bureau: Out of respect for our legendary healthcare reporter Robert Pear, who died last night, the newspaper is retiring the story slug HEALTH, "because it can only be by Pear."
