    I'm surprised by the silence from the startup community. If startups want to be perceived as leaders creating tomorrow's infrastructure, then it's imperative they have an ethical position on privacy.

    We are sleepwalking into a surveillance state. Labor needs to get more worked up about citizens being spied on and less about how the information got leaked.

    So has removed the “we can record people at your event at any time & use it forever” clause from their organizer T&C, but still don’t seem to understand why it was problematic wrt event attendee safety. Conversation starts here.

    Hi! A clause in our updated terms was designed to help create promotional content with our creators, but the language we used was broader than necessary. We have not recorded any footage at events and have now removed the clause entirely. Apologies for any concern this caused.

    apparently claims the right to show up to any events you run through their service unannounced and film attendees without permission, then use their photos and videos in any context forever no more using eventbrite for women's events then
