Ethereum is the substrate for a revolution in human cooperation. Borderless, permissionless, frictionless, automated. It's the digital internet equivalent of companies and contracts. But so much more, the same way that social networks are more than physical mail.

Udi back in great form. Finding where it hurts the most and smashing those buttons.

Adam Back used to sell T-shirts with RSA code printed on them, to fight the US government’s attempts to censor free speech Now he’s encouraging miners to censor jpegs because he thinks they’re “crap”

1/ A SCAM YOU SIGNED YOURSELF Crypto wallet signature and approval scams are rampant. Why does this happen? What actions can a community take to prevent these scams? Is this universal: is it specific to Ethereum's design, are other blockchains safer?

That this is the most interesting development in Bitcoin in years and bitcoiners still hate it is all you need to know about that community.

bitcoin news for ethereans: so essentially bitcoin already includes a type of heavily discounted (-75%) eip-4844-style blobspace called the ”segwit discount” since 2017. that blobspace is now being abused by taproot to make full-block (≤4mb) bitcoin NFTs 10x cheaper than ETH L1.

An inside look at current affairs at Twitter.

Spent last two days at Twitter in SF talking to engineers, product managers and yes, @elonmusk. Learned a ton about what’s going on. Before I share, want to note that after couple hour meeting I asked Elon what I could share and he said, “anything that’s true.” 🧵time…

Thank you for sharing Ameen. I feel like this is an important lesson for most DAOs and decentralized products. Don't let the perfect be the enemy of good.

ETH-only RAI was a mistake the ETH staking yield means that borrowing RAI against pure ETH will always have some % opportunity cost the RAI redemption rate should almost always be negative to reflect this opportunity cost decentralization is expensive, people don't want to pay

The KZG Ceremony was too spicy apparently. Carl got permanently suspended for scaling ethereum 🫡 🕯️ Anything we can do to bring a top ethereum contributor back on twitter?

Simplest explanation of how Ethereum both pay validators and don't increase total supply of Ether 👌
Quote Tweet
Replying to @JaEsf @TimBeiko and @MichaelYouKnow
Some may find this clearer: - $1 is minted to reward validator for new block - Tx senders pay $2 in fees: $1 (also) paid to validator, $1 burned So, in net: - $1 is created (by protocol) - $1 is burned (from senders) - Senders pay $2 - Validator gets $2 - Net supply change is $0

The crypto version of reinventing the wheel. This is Solana admitting that it can't prioritise transactions without increasing fees - negating one of its main differentiators vs other blockchains.

When the @Solana network is under load, @Solflare_Wallet says its users can now get their transactions prioritized through integrated variable gas fees. decrypt.co/119356/solflar

How long before an automated generalized MEV bot executes a smart contract hack without its human owner even knowing it?

Allright, I'll go on record: There's no exceptional synergy between AI and Blockchain. Using AI in combination with Blockchain is not necessarily worthless, but makes less sense than most things you could supercharge with AI.

Pro tip: If your crypto price analyst predicts anything about $ETH using any data from more than the last 100 days and he ignores that $ETH net issuance basically stopped, he has no idea what he's doing.

Lol, seems like I hit a nerve.

Come on man, calling other tokes than Bitcoin "alts" is so boomer vibe its hard to take seriously 😃 The "Bitcoin vs all-other-coins" distinction is useless and has been for years.
Seriously good write up about what crypto has already showed that it's capable of and why (no, really!) it's not all a scam.

Really happy to see backing down on the link policy. I understand that Twitter is losing money and desperately need to increase advertising and other income, but cracking down on casual linking to other platforms was never a good path.

Policy will be adjusted to suspending accounts only when that account’s *primary* purpose is promotion of competitors, which essentially falls under the no spam rule

Since when is Twitter a "traditional publisher"? The content of Twitter belong to the users, not the platform. Spamming is already against the rules. This is a massive overstep and does not reflect what regular users want.

Exactly. Twitter should be easy to use, but no more relentless free advertising of competitors. No traditional publisher allows this and neither will Twitter.
