    Little known fact about the VA? One of their four missions is to help with managing such emergencies m. Volcano eruptions in Hawaii, fires in California etc.

    After a rash of nearly 1,000 earthquakes struck Puerto Rico in recent weeks, 3 VA nurses from Biloxi, Mississippi went to the island to help as part of the department's pioneering Disaster Emergency Medical Personnel System:

    No one is giving us guidelines. CDC isn’t testing except in certain cities. They are telling us to not wear masks. Hospitals aren’t getting clear direction. There are shortages of PPE. It’s a mess.

    Let’s talk first responders. I’m a nurse. I’ve been through the Ebola & H1N1 scares. This is the first time the government has given us NO direction. During H1N1 our county health dept sent letters & had meetings w/ all first responders. This time nobody knows what to do.

    1. With the coronavirus killing thousands and threatening to tank the global economy, I feel like more people should be talking about the fact that Trump fired the entire pandemic response team two years ago and then didn't replace them

    I volunteered for Obama in 2012. I ran for office in 2018. I am now a Bernie Victory Captain. I have an observation: The Bernie 2020 campaign is the most well-oiled machine I've ever seen. Bernie will win because the organization is doing everything right at an incredible scale.
