$1/article archived? Is this a joke? That’s less than a penny of storage space on their end
Man, it would be so simple/dirt cheap to have an open source system that pushed pages live to http://Archive.org , returned an archival link for that timestamp, and in case of failure saved the link on its own servers

Maybe that would be hammering archive too much

They have web extensions and apps to manually archive pages as you browse already — it could be a manual one-click if you didn’t wanna clog them up with garbage— missing step is just storing the archive links and naving occasional robots.txts
