    Down is one of the best insulating materials, yet people may be uncomfortable with how some farmers harvest the soft, heat-trapping feathers. I wrote a guide for so you can understand more about the down we stuff into coats & comforters.

    Minutes ago, trucks filled with vaccines departed the  facility in Portage, Mich., headed for distribution centers and airports. Crowds who gathered outside the facility cheered the departing  and  trucks.

    That’s...quite a difference.

    One thing to note is that even when companies do disclose climate risks, they can get it wrong! In 2018, PG&E pegged its future wildfire risk at about $2.5 billion. The next year, it faced $30 billion in wildfire liability and filed for bankruptcy:

    The article by , , , , , and is a fascinating look into how Pfizer and Moderna found a Covid-19 vaccine in an astoundingly short amount of time. And that paragraph is just one of many great parts of the story.
