We just did a DNA test. Turns out: It's 100% that [crystal] flute @lizzo played at her D.C. stop on the #SpecialTour tonight. It's safe & sound back at the Library now. Thank you @CapitolPolice for escorting it. Watch this space for more from Lizzo's Library visit. #LizzoAtLOC

I have the toughest bill in Congress—and the only bipartisan bill in the Senate—to ban Members of Congress and their spouses from buying, selling, and owning individual stocks. There is no reason not to have a Congressional stock trading ban on the floor now. Let's pass it.

Thank you, & , for putting working people over corporate greed and special interests! The Inflation Reduction Act is a HUGE deal—lowering costs, fighting climate change, and making billionaire corporations pay a fairer share. #DemsDeliver4US

Tune in as I deliver remarks and sign into law the Inflation Reduction Act, a historic bill that will lower costs for American families, combat the climate crisis, reduce the deficit, and finally make the largest corporations pay their fair share in taxes. twitter.com/i/broadcasts/1

Because of the Inflation Reduction Act, giant corporations that often pay little or no federal taxes will be required to pay a 15% minimum. Democrats will use this tax revenue to lower costs like energy & health care for working families. You don’t get what you don’t fight for.

Corporations will pay nearly $296 billion more in US federal taxes over the next decade, and middle-income households will see some tax cuts, under the tax-and-climate bill that is likely to become law trib.al/D7X8t1i

Excited for Senate passage of Inflation Reduction Act! Huge $$ for IRS, 15% minimum tax on corporations over $1 bil, tax on stock buybacks. Important day for tax fairness! 🥳

Excited about the prospect of the Inflation Reduction Act to help our country get closer to tax fairness. Ensuring no company making more than a billion in profits pays zero taxes is a HUGE step. We can fund healthcare and climate change fixes when we #TaxCorporateGreed.

Giant corporations don’t pay workers enough to keep up with inflation, pay little to nothing in taxes & price gouge consumers—all while jacking up CEO pay.   We need to raise the minimum wage, pass a corporate minimum tax & crack down on price gouging.

Americans spend too much time and money filing taxes—all because corporate special interests lobbied to corner the market and prevent from developing its own free and easy filing service. , and I have a bill that would put finally put taxpayers first.

Americans spend 13 hours and $240 on average to file their taxes—while corporations like @Intuit rake in billions. That’s outrageous. Today I'm leading 22 colleagues on legislation to make filing taxes free and easy for taxpayers. The IRS itself can and should adopt my plan.

Overturning Roe and outlawing abortions will never make them go away. It only makes them more dangerous, especially for the poor + marginalized. People will die because of this decision. And we will never stop until abortion rights are restored in the United States of America.

Think about this. Are we truly a democracy when you've got a handful of billionaires able to contribute hundreds of millions of dollars to elect candidates who represent the interests of the wealthy? Is that really the kind of democracy we want? I don't think so.

There is no such thing as being “pro-life” while supporting laws that let children be shot in their schools, elders in grocery stores, worshippers in their houses of faith, survivors by abusers, or anyone in a crowded place. It is an idolatry of violence. And it must end.
