We call on gender-based violence orgs—especially those that have historically collaborated with Cuomo, and are thus complicit in the patriarchal violence endemic to his governance—to uplift these demands & insist on accountability to survivors, *including* criminalized survivors.
We emphatically reject understandings of Cuomo's abuse of power, harassment, & assaults that don't recognize the link between his interpersonal violence & his use of the carceral state to unrelentingly punish & criminalize survivors. Accountability requires more than resignation.
