We can't end rape w/ policing+prisons, which are essentially state-sanctioned serial killers & rapists. Their violence targets poor BIPOC, esp Black people, & they systematically punish + disappear survivors of sexual violence into cages. To be anti-rape you must be anti-prison.
Also as a neurodivergent survivor, I find your accusations of ableism toward abolitionists calling for an end to ALL gender-based violence including that which is committed by the state extremely insulting. Please speak for yourself.
the ableism direction was @ stating we should read an 83 page dissertation full of victim blaming language.
so will you look a survivor in the face and tell them that despite the pain they have gone through, you believe their assailant deserves to walk free- capable of committing the same atrocities yet again? and that their suffering alone was simply "not enough"?
We can affirm & uplift survivors and the pain of their experience, but NOT by legitimizing a system that also targets and punishes survivors. It also seems you're not listening to the survivors who have actually experienced criminalization precisely bc they were survivors.
