I’m sharing because some friends have asked me privately about this, and in case anyone's looking for orgs to follow or support with actions or dollars (even $5 or less can help, especially monthly) in 2020. Here’s a little info on each org, in alphabetical order:

Black Voters Fund (http://movement.vote/funds/black-voter-fund …) 1-click way to donate to 32 local Black-led orgs focused on voter registration, election protection, voter turnout, and year-round voter engagement. Includes groups like @dreamdefenders (FL), Woke Vote (AL), and @blocbyblocMKE (WI).

@BYP_100 (http://byp100.org ) National member-based org of Black activists aged 18-35, focused on justice and liberty for all Black people. Grassroots and electoral organizing, political education, policy advocacy, fundraising. Part of the Movement for Black Lives coalition.

@blocbyblocMKE (http://blocbybloc.org ) & WI Dems (http://wisdems.org ) Election protection, voter reg, and canvassing in a tough voter ID state. WI is known as the “tipping point” state in the prez race, and has a Supreme Court election the same day as its primary in April.

@CasaRubyDC (http://casaruby.org ) DC-based org; provides health, housing, immigration, and social services (in Spanish and English) to LGBTQ individuals in the DMV area. Known particularly (at least to me) for their work with trans youth experiencing homelessness.

@FutureNowUSA (http://futurenow.org ) National organizing group, supports state-level legislative candidates and helps them enact progressive policy when they win. Focused on flipping state legislative chambers and breaking Republican supermajorities in 14 states in 2020.

@NationalBailOut (http://nationalbailout.org ) National organizing group, bails out people in pre-trial detention, advocates for bail reform, has coordinated several years of Mama’s Day Bail Outs, which you may have heard of or seen online with #FreeBlackMamas.

@RAICESTEXAS (http://raicestexas.org ) Texas-based org, provides free and low-cost legal services to immigrants and refugees. Pays bonds to release folks from detention & reunite separated families, trains lawyers and volunteers for tasks like accompanying folks to ICE check-ins.
