A1. “Abuse to prison pipeline”: abuse creates conditions in which people must take criminalized action to survive. The majority of survivors are not supported w/services they need, but we have ample prosecutors/police to imprison survivors taking action to be safe.

A1. Also, funding priorities shapes & drives the pipeline. CA anti-violence services received 1/5 of the state funding needed. Meanwhile Gov. Brown proposed an increase in prison funding by almost $600 million ($12 bill total).
