    A 5 yr old can understand opposites like big and little, do basic counting, recognize primary colors & some written words. Attention span is 5- 10 minutes. Reasoning skills are limited; magical thinking is common. Every person involved in this program should go straight to hell.

    I had my first kid in graduate school and it was challenging but wonderful. There is no "right time" and it will never get "easier." I will quote my PhD mentor who said that if you wait to have kids till you get tenure, the only thing that you ensure is that you won't have em.

    Diverse bacteria are found in the hyphae of many fungi that are found in seeds. They can affect fungal interactions with seeds in context dependent ways. The last thesis chapter from Justin Shaffer now in print!
