Another Walgreens is permanently shutting down in SF. The drugstore at 790 Van Ness Ave. had been dealing with rampant shoplifting amounting to up to $1,000 in lost merchandise every day. Theft of less than $950 in goods is treated as a nonviolent misdemeanor under California law. This is at least the 8th store in the city to be closed by the drugstore chain since the beginning of 2019.

I’m sick of seeing comments like this on every post on Chesa’s page. Comments like these are ignorant and dangerous. Prop 20 is a money making scheme for prisons. Do some research. You want to see a drop in crime, invest back into community programs.
