TYPE 3: The Bought-Out Politician → Joe Manchin Manchin receives more contributions from fossil fuel companies than any other Dem politician and talks to Exxon's head of federal relations every week. He watered down Biden's 2021 climate bill, putting all of us at risk.

TYPE 2: The Greenwashing Billionaire → Elon Musk Musk runs a billion $ company for huge profit, but holds back real climate action (gov't spending, public transit, etc). But since his cars are electric, he gets a free pass. AND Tesla has some of the worst labor conditions...

TYPE 1: The Fossil Fuel Billionaire → Charles Koch The Republican Party’s denial of climate science can directly be traced back to the Koch family. They spent $145M attacking climate science and policy solutions. They made their money from FFs and want to keep getting rich.

This Earth Week we're reminded of the people in the way of us winning a Green New Deal. Some of the forces are trying to stop change. Others are trying to make it as slow as possible. And others are trying to make sure any changes mostly benefit them, not stop climate change.🧵

We're told that this contract has historic climate provisions to create climate champion positions within LAUSD and will develop a task force to move us to a fossil fuel free LAUSD and a GND for Public Schools! Labor and the climate movement work hand in hand. This rocks. LFG.
