I wrote earlier about how Brexit broke my brain. This point always stands: "Being perpetually outraged loosens our perspective on what’s important and what isn’t true. It makes us more easily dismiss facts that don’t fit the narrative"

What's WORSE is that figures like Trump and Musk know this too. If your aim is to be the centre of conversation (positive or negative, it doesn't matter) - get people to argue about you on social media. Trump rode the wave of liberal anger to unite conservatives. He used us.

Not surprised to hear David Starkey say this. Be interesting to see how conservatives react, given they've been defending Starkey vehemently in recent years.

A typical political response to this is: "oh no, a backlash is brewing!" But I think this is good for Britain, economically and culturally.

In summary, as I say in the column, all the media focus is on illegal migration. But it's the perfectly legal kind that is already doing much more to reshape our country. Please give it a read thetimes.co.uk/article/britai

Just realized some DLR trains in London are now covered in pictures of forests instead of advertising, giving them a much nicer inner look

"We believe that monitoring and documenting human rights violations in Iran and preparing that evidence so it can stand up in court, is a powerful way to hold the regime to account." "Those guilty should have evidence presented against them at international courts."

The plan goes a bit like this: "We aim to build a global group of experts to help document and analyse the human rights abuses in Iran, with a view to securing justice for the victims in international courts."
