The definitions of right and wrong were also made-up anyway. So in wider sense, it’s ridiculous to be ‘sure’ of anything to be absolutely right or wrong. To be unsure is human - its a sign of vulnerability. All species were made equally vulnerable but somehow Humans hate to admithttps://twitter.com/mani1972ias/status/1073182158607523840 …

Read it. I would love to have your view this. It looks like a strong statement. It made me to think deeper. Still thinking. Thought of inviting you to join me! Thank you! 🙂 pic.twitter.com/SO4SBnvPfl

I tend to agree. The right and wrong are mostly defined by the existing law. However, while my mind agrees to the logic in his statement, something else in me is disagreeing. What is that?

I guess what’s bothering you is how ‘sure’ and convinced the writer him/herself is in this statement.. of what’s right and what’s wrong. Is that it?

Hmm, not exactly. I realise that he mentions it as 'floating level' that can vary overtime/space. I think I am not sure of the pros and cons of such thinking. Do we question everything or agree to some axioms? Without axioms even Maths fails!

Yeah I agree.. but come to think of it - isn’t it fair to say that some remarkable creativity and innovation has come into being because someone somewhere questioned, disagreed, or went on to explore further? In physics and Maths.. perhaps? Not sure if examples though

You are right! Science can revel in uncertainty as a motivator. But, in a living society, where does the balance between the accepting & questioning lie? Or it is left to individuals? Are there no collective morals in a society? Only a collective law?

I would say there’s so much sense also in just ‘being, and observing’. Society can not be filled only with those who question, enforce or balance morals. A good friend once told me, “let’s just BE someone, sometimes, and not always BECOME someone”

Makes sense. Your friend seems to be as wise as you! 👍🙂 This becoming 'someone' distorts us, most of the times.
