    Last week six mining, oil and gas companies made commitments to advance beneficial ownership transparency. These actions can help prevent corruption, but only if properly implemented. Thoughts on the way forward from my colleague :

    3. Co's must ask: “Will partnering with this entity harm the country where we work?” & publish clear no-go areas to reduce number of discretionary decisions. 4. Anticorruption advocates & beneficial ownership transparency supporters must invest in how BO data is used. 3/4

    1. Knowing who owns a company is not enough. Govt's & co's must apply high ethical standards when evaluating that info. 2. Govt's & state-owned enterprises that allocate licenses or approve suppliers need strong standards for who can & cannot participate in the sector. 2/4

    Proud that we at with are advancing the fight to recognize gender inequities in the extractive sector & to ensure governments propose and progress gender related commitments - essential to achieve more inclusive societies.

    Just wrapped up four days of our first-ever ! Feeling so lucky to connect with our amazing, diverse, talented and fun staff at & for the chance to explore together how we work more effectively, strategically, and politically. Thanks all!

    It's the last day of . Staff discussed ways of working together and strengthening connections. This was followed by a session on policy stories & narratives by , and an engaging session led by Ghanaian journalist on producing compelling content.
