I'm sorry, they have savings and he already has a job offer he's accepted and she still wants to bail? This obviously wasn't the only issue and he's obviously in a highly sought after position. Why wouldn't she support him being in a work environment that makes him happy

Those are my thoughts exactly. Yes, it's stressful that he made such a decision on the fly, but he made it work and his reason for changing out is valid. A promotion is only worth it if the person being promoted thinks it is.
