    *Sigh* I love Factorio. It's hands down one of my favourite indie games of all time, I've recommended it constantly, streamed it, I play it coop with friends, bought loads of copies as gifts... so seeing one of the devs go all out "CaNcEl CuLtUrE" is a real kick in the teeth.

    This kind of progress being shut down, stifled, or erased can be seen in so many areas of history. For instance many indigenous cultures were more accepting of queer people and neurodivergent people, had better hygiene, and had more advanced tools than white people.

    I just learned that indigenous people literally had open heart surgery and fully successful cataract surgery for like thousands of years - and I'm like jesus if racists didn't fuck everybody up we would have such an amazing world instead of like starting surgery in the late 1800s
