Sorta glossed over the fact Steven was filtering out the results he said were censored. Not upset about the lie at all?

I didn’t address it at all. Crowder said YT was manipulating search results, so I did a few independent tests and got results that seemed to corroborate. I am far more concerned about possible selective favoring by YT based on political ideology than one person’s hyperbole.

Yeah I noticed you didn’t address it at all. At least you’re upfront about not caring about it

For me it’s a question of the greater threat. Crowder possibly overstating something is far less serious than the potential misuse of YT’s influence powers, do that’s the claim I tested. I think he raiseda legit concern that is being to offhandedly dismissed by some. (cont)

Why do you think that he used filtered results if the point could have just as easily been made without filtering the results? That doesn’t make you question his integrity in any way?

Did the fact that I performed independent trials before opining on his claims escape you? Most political pundits overstate or misrepresent to bolster their claims, happens across the spectrum. I extend blind trust to almost no one, even those w/ whom I generally agree. (cont)

The focus on petty bickering points at the expense of deeper more core issues is something I loathe. We may disagree on what it means, but I don’t think it’s arguable that YT searches seem to act differently for political and non political channels, and by ideology. (cont)

That’s not what he’s saying, he’s representing the problem as “YouTube is censoring us,” when that is not in fact the reality. No one disagrees that yt prefers non political content- that much is blatant if you read their monetization guidelines.

But it’s with the political content that their ability to selectively influence is more concerning. It is inarguable that the leadership of YT supports the left. It is also inarguable that demonitization and demotion complaints are, AFAIK, exclusive to center/right. Coincidence?

That’s patently false, lol. I can point to at least 2 left wing channels that were removed and reinstated in the last year alone. Stop buying every lie that this proven manipulator tells you and you might come to understand how this is a problem for all sides.

Please do so. I’d sincerely like to look into their circumstances to enhance my overall understanding of the situation.

The Serfs and Three Arrows both had their channels removed for “hate speech,” in this past year.
