If the DA office brought just 23 cases to trial between Jan. 1, 2020 through March 1, 2021 (out of 6000? 8000? felony arrests in that period), don't you think stats Nielson is reporting may perhaps be missing important context. It's hard to see it as anything other than puff.
The DA has the information and won't release it. The courts have the information and won't release it. These bodies are accountable to the public, and the data is a owned by the public.

The information is gray and nuanced, and releasing it will cause people to take it completely out of context. There's no point in releasing that information so people can pin it on the wrong parties.
