Wait. Did you just google “homicide epidemic”, find an article from *checks notes* Milwaukee, and attach it to a discussion about San Francisco, to declare “see, something something national problem. Local deaths don't matter”? Well done Sherlock. Slow clap.

No, I'm from MKE and tweeted the article as an example of a problem that is national and not unique to SF So Einstein, take a deep breath and allow yourself a bit more time before you fire off another example of your stupidity

You didn't explain why crime rates in Milwaukee is relevant to local policy in SF. SF has some of the lowest incarnation rates in the country, and probably the lowest rate of trials in the country, while murders and violent offenders are frequently released.

Susie NeilsonVerified account @susieneilsonReplying to @susieneilson @socallegaleagl1 @meganrcassidyThe broader point is D.A. policies don't appear to have the same effect on crime rates as bigger events like the pandemic and recession. See our chart on San Francisco vs. Sacramento - in Sac, with a more traditional D.A., assaults increased and murder rates increased more pic.twitter.com/U1yAj1Wbsg1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes
Except murder. And poisonings.
